The range of double basin vanity units from Nôsa
Our double basin vanity units come freestanding and wall-hung, which offer their own distinct advantages.
Freestanding units are easier to install, and their pipework is completely hidden within the cabinet, giving your space a clean, minimalist look.
Wall-hung units, on the other hand, create an illusion of space, making the most compact bathrooms feel much larger. Their floating appearance is best suited to minimalist or spa-style bathrooms.
We’ve got an array of traditional and contemporary styles for you to choose from, including Grosvenor, Claridge, and Cavendish. Whichever style you go with, you’re adding timeless grandeur to your space.
These units are supplied undrilled, which allows you to use wall-mounted or deck-mounted taps. Knobs are sold separately.
Plumbing requirements for a Nôsa double vanity unit
As double vanity units contain two separate taps and waste outlets (drains), they require additional plumbing compared to single-basin units.
This needs to be taken into account to ensure that your unit will fit adequately into your bathroom or ensuite and you will not encounter any potential plumbing problems due to insufficient space.
How do I select the right size of double vanity unit for my bathroom?
Nôsa’s double vanity units range from 1200mm, which are designed for standard master ensuites and average family bathrooms, to 1600mm, which are designed for grand master bathrooms and ensuites.
To make absolutely sure that you’re selecting the right size of double vanity unit for your bathroom or ensuite, you can use masking tape on the floor to outline the exact width and depth of the unit you want.
Stand in front of the taped area, and measure floor-to-wall height, wall-to-wall distance, and walkway space. You should have at least 600mm to 700mm of clear walkway space.
Open the bathroom door and nearby shower doors to assess whether or not there is enough door swing clearance. Your cabinets should be able to fully open and close.
If you’re unsure about anything, contact a certified plumber to inspect your current bathroom setup and provide their professional opinion.
Is a double vanity unit suitable for a family bathroom?
Yes, a double vanity unit is perfect for a family bathroom for three main reasons:
- It gives you your own personal space, meaning you can use your basin whenever you want, even if someone needs to use the bathroom at the same time. You’re not having to wait around or delay yourself.
- You get additional storage space, which can come at a premium in a busy family home.
- More storage space means less clutter, which gives your space a cleaner, more minimalist feel (and diffuses potential tension between family members!).
Should I buy a single large mirror or two smaller mirrors for my double basin vanity unit?
Your choice of mirror depends on your stylistic preference and wider interior. More traditional spaces will feature one large mirror, which makes the room appear larger and helps to spread light. However, the more modern look is to have two smaller, separate mirrors hanging above both basins. This look also conveys a greater sense of symmetry.
What double vanity unit styles are available in the Nôsa collection?
The Nôsa luxury bathroom collection features numerous traditional, freestanding, and wall-hung designs. The worktops of these units commonly feature Carrara Marble, a famous type of white or blue-grey marble which was quarried in the Apuan Alps of Tuscany, Italy. More modern designs such as Aman feature raised basins rather than integrated options, and their storage spaces have a more natural wood style.
